Welcome to our little corner of the internet! We're so glad you're here and can't wait to share our journey with you.

Hello and Welcome!
I’m Marina Saunders, the owner of Tandem Pediatrics, LLC. I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist and certified lactation counselor dedicated to supporting children and families through compassionate, family-centered care.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with minors in English and Psychology, from Marshall University in 2018, as well as my Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2020. In 2025, I became a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and also completed Feed the Peds training, strengthening my ability to support children and families with feeding and development needs across infancy and early childhood. In April 2026, I continued to further my clinical knowledge about oral ties and how these can impact speech, feeding, and/or breastfeeding. My postgraduate clinical experience includes working in schools, outpatient therapy, and early intervention. Throughout each of these settings I have supported children with a variety of communication and feeding needs from birth to early adulthood. As both a provider and a mom of two, I truly understand the value of care surrounding your children that is practical, supportive, and individualized to each family’s unique needs.

Tandem Pediatrics was established to offer families a more personal and supportive therapeutic experience-one that focuses on meaningful skills that impact everyday life. I believe every child deserves support that is individualized, functional, and family-centered, even when concerns may not align neatly into a traditional service model. By providing care in a child's natural environments with longer sessions and flexible scheduling, it is my goal to make the best progress we can achieve while taking the stress off of parents about running to another appointment. I strive to create a welcoming space for children to feel comfortable, families to feel supported, and progress to feel practical and achievable.

As both a provider and mom, I genuinely understand how important it is for care to feel approachable, encouraging, and attainable. My goal is to help empower children in their communication and feeding development while walking alongside families with compassion, knowledge, and heart.

I would love to connect if you have any concerns about your child's speech-language or feeding skills; as well as any trials you may be facing in your breastfeeding journey!
